Canal Park!
Rendering of future project!
The Village of Wurtsboro and the Wurtsboro Board of Trade are pleased to introduce our new joint venture... Canal Park!
This collaborative effort will transform the vacant, Village-owned property at the intersection of Canal and Pine Streets (across from the Wurtsboro Fire Department) into publicly accessible recreational space for youth and adults, alike!
Currently, the scope of this endeavor includes a full-size basketball court, pickleball court, bleachers, fencing, and parking, with the primary funding source being secured through the acquisition of grants.
Our goal is to provide the community with a safe place to play, exercise, and socialize, ultimately promoting physical health, mental health, and social skills.

SAVE EXIT 114!
THIS IS NOT A DONE DEAL YET!!
There is a plan to close exit 114 (Wurtsboro Village exit) off route 17 by the Department of Transportation when Route 17 is converted to 1-86 in the next couple years. We need your support to prevent this from happening!
NYSDOT needs to hear from YOU, the individuals who both live and work within our community. We understand not everyone was able to make it to the open house. However, we strongly encourage you to fill out the comment form. Please be sure to describe your personal concerns with a closure of Exit 114. Remember, we all have different stories. NYSDOT needs to hear them all!
